Column broadens knowledge of FGM

I would like to share my regards for Jennifer McKean's latest commentary, "Not for the taking." This commentary was a great, informative opinion that deserves much credit. Ms. Mckean was able to use important facts to support her opinion against FGM. She was able to sicken us with the ritualistic truths behind FGM. This does happen every day and her effort to inform others of this traditional slaughter practice shows that she is not only concerned for those that have received, but for those who might receive tomorrow.

I strictly condemn FGM, and I hope that such an article like Ms. McKean's will help others understand what a horror FGM is. Not only is it time to understand, it's time to stop FGM. Locally, globally.
