Chris Richards Arizona Daily Wildcat Norma Navarro, Latin American studies senior and Pricilla O'Brien, geosciences sophomore, tack ribbons up yesterday on a Women's Resource Center display entitled "Altar Images." The center encouraged passersby to stop by the display, set up on the UA Mall, to write the name of a woman significant to them, along with a few words explaining why, on a ribbon. The event's objective was to pay homage to women in everyday life, while breaking down media stereotypes, Navarro said. The event was part of the resource center's celebration of Women's Week.
