- Are you excited to get out of college, but petrified by the thought
of what you'll do next. Well don't panic, instead increase your success
in the professional world with strategies provided by Success in the
After(school) Life. This event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in
the Tucson Room of the Memorial Student Union and feature the professional
tips of Edie Auslander, Slivy Edmonds Cotton, Helen Schaefer, Margaret
Sprague and Mely Tynan.
- Interested in surfing the Net, but afraid to test the waters? Then
the Web-Based Courses Motivation, Design, Construction and Implementation
are for you. The availability of graphical browsers have helped enable
education to take a new track in distance learning-Web-based learning.
Join the discussion on the strengths and weaknesses of this process and
learn some simple tools for the Web from 2 to 3 p.m. in Room 301 of Engineering.
- If you missed President Peter Likins Inauguration last week, you can
catch him today at 4 p.m. in Room S202 of the Aerospace and Mechanical
Engineering building. Likins will lead a seminar on "Spacecraft
Dynamics and Control in Retrospect," describing his personal perspective
on the developmental of control system strategies designed to compensate
for the inevitable imperfections in the mathematical models adopted for
