A Day Without Art encourages false stereotypes

Editor:

I am shocked that no one has actually thought about what kind of message that a Day Without Art is sending around the world. A Day Without Art does NOTHING to help solve the problem. This idiotic practice of having a day without art merely encourages the FALSE stereotype that all artists are promiscuous, and/or I.V. drug users and therefore are the primary targets of this virus. For World AIDS Day, encouragement should be given to have a day withoug sex or a day without shooting up. Art has nothing to do with the problem or the solution.
