Union should be phased renovation

Editor:

As a former student, I know what the Student Union is like and it is absolutely in need of repair or replacement. Destroying it completely and rebuilding it would be costly due to the fact that it would eliminate too many things that people use everyday. A phased-renovation should be done. Perhaps with this referendum failing, maybe the students themselves should create their own plan and submit it to the Board of Regents.
