Today on Campus
- Dean Young will be the featured speaker at the Poetry Center Reading tonight at 8. Young is the author of three
books of poetry and winner of the 1995 Colorado Prize for Poetry. Head to the Modern Languages' Auditorium to hear why a wide
variety of his works have appeared in national magazines. His books will also be available for sale courtesy of the UA Associated
Student's Bookstore.
- Travel The Road to Mental Health Parity in Vermont with Vermont Gov. Howard Dean. Dean will
discuss his commitment to mental health today at 4 p.m. in the Jack McDuff Dining Room, Room 205, of the Swede Johnson Building.
- Professor Arie S. Issar of the J. Blaustein Institute for Desert Research will speak on "Reforestation of Arid and Semi-Arid
Lands, the Affirmative Way to Reduce Atmospheric CO2." Join in on the discussion today in the Harshbarger Building, Room 206, from 4
to 5 p.m.
- Finally some tools for women will be discussed at the Financial Workshop for Women today at 9 a.m. and 2
p.m. This workshop is designed to provide tools, resources and information necessary to empower you to take charge of your financial
future. The workshop will be held in the University Services building, Room 216. Due to limited seating, it's required that you reserve
your spot by dialing 621-3956.
