By Adam Talenfeld Likins' Nike trip a sign of good leadershipTo the Editor: With regard to your news article dated February 9, "Likins visits Nike headquarters," I have two things to say: (1) Thank you, President Likins, for spending your time and money so that you can make more informed decisions; and (2) Why, Students Against Sweatshops, do you oppose Dr. Likins' efforts? Likins' preparations for decisions on such controversial issues as the Nike contract and the Mt. Graham telescope are models for all of us to follow. They are examples of how to deal effectively and ethically with all of life's dilemmas, academic and otherwise. Rather than avoiding difficult choices or accepting any argument out of hand, our President is going to the effort of researching the arguments involved in these debates so that he may make these difficult decisions in good faith.
