™Coming to Terms with Our Pastš will be the topic at today®s German-Jewish dialogue co-sponsored by Hillel and the German Department. This brown-bag lunch will be an open forum at 12 p.m. at Hillel. Student facilitators hope to discuss the past and work on solutions for the future. Hillel has all the information at 624-6561.

Guten Tag! The German Film Series continues today with ™My Name is Bertolt Brecht ť Exile in the USA.š This documentary about a German poet and playwright appropriately enough ™follows the bitter experiences of Brecht®s exile.š As with all the free films in the series, this has English subtitles and shows at 7:30 p.m. in Modern Languages Auditorium. You might encounter this armed housewife at the Lesbian Looks Film Festival.

A collection of short documentaries, diaries and narratives will be presented today as the Lesbian Looks Film and Video Series begins. Attention aspiring arabesque acolytes: UA Dance Division presents some of their finest work in Premium Blend, tonight and tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Centennial Hall. Tickets to this splendid showcase of rhythmic rapture are $10 general admission and $7 for students and seniors. Pas de bourre your way to the phone and call the box office at 621-3341.

The Plaza Pub keeps it rockin® in the free world tonight when Bluescrusher and The Moneyshot take the stage. Doors open at 9 p.m. and tickets will crush three greenbacks

Feeling lonely? Then Make a Date with a Poet at the Book Mark bookstore, 5001 E. Speedway, today from 7 to 9 p.m. This program plus an open mic is featured on the third Saturday of every month. Christy White at 881-5180 will give you more information, but only if you phrase your questions in verse.

The inebriated party gets started early tonight at Club Congress, thanks to the Drunken Word Poets. They go on from 8 to 9:30 p.m., and the fun keeps going with Spyder Rhodes® Electric Company (that was a great PBS show by the way) afterwards. It®s free, but if you can®t believe it call 622-8848.

Did bad luck on Valentine®s Day leave you singing the blues? Find solace in the soulful stylings of Guitar Shorty when he comes to The Rock, 130 N. Park, at 9 p.m. Shorty has worked with legends like Ray Charles and B.B. King, and he married Jimi Hendrix®s stepsister. Call 791-9618 for more information.

The Futurists were a radical group from the early 1900s started by Italian poet Filippo Tommaso Marinetti who rejected the romantic sentimentalities of the nineteenth century. Datura Studios and Gallery, 31 E. Toole, pay homage to this movement tonight with the opening of a community art exhibit titled ™The New Futurists Furious Art Exhibition.š The festivities start at 6 p.m. with a potluck, and performances run from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., which include Womb, Denise Bey, Colleen, Daniel Moore and Dennis Williams. Tuesday February 23

Tonight at 7:30 is your last chance to catch the screen version of Toni Morrison®s ™Belovedš at Gallagher Theatre. This terrifying but poignant movie runs from Feb. 19-23 so if you®re reading ahead, get on out there! Tickets are $2.50 of course, and like always, 621-5803 will give you the low down.

If the summer®s other insect-inspired movie was a little too reminiscent of Aldous Huxley, then check out Disney®s lighthearted ™A Bug®s Lifeš from Feb. 24-28 at Gallagher Theatre. The 7:30 p.m. show is perfect for all you kids with early bedtimes, but grown-ups can venture out at 9:30 p.m., too.
