The Arizona gymnastics team is coming home after a second place finish at the UCLA Invitational last week.

Tonight at 7:30 at McKale Center the Wildcats (6-4 overall, 2-2 Pacific 10 Conference) face defending Pac-10 champion and No. 10-ranked Stanford (8-2, 2-1).

Head coach Bill Ryden said his gymnasts are feeling confident heading into the meet.

"We're definitely getting better each week," he said. "(Arizona) definitely has a good chance to win."

Arizona All-American Heidi Hornbeek echoed these sentiments.

"We keep improving," she said. "We just need to stay focused on our routines and don't worry about the judges."

Arizona is in a crucial part of the season. The Wildcats need to perform well in the upcoming meets to see where they fit in the national picture.

Ryden said the next few meets are critical.

"In two weeks we will know where we stand," he said.
