The UA men's tennis team faces Arizona State today in Tempe at 1:30 p.m.

ASU is currently ranked No. 17, while UA is ranked No. 45.

"ASU is a tough team," assistant coach Bob Helmig said. "We have prepared well, doubles are doing great and we are definitely fired up."

This past weekend the UA men went to Texas for two matches, winning against Texas-Pan American, and they came back with a lot of confidence, the players said.

"We had a solid weekend in Houston," junior Michel Stopa said. "We are ready to respond to ASU. It definitely gets the adrenaline going."

Playing their rivals gets the players fired up.

"Our team is ready to give 100 percent and since it's ASU there is an added spice to the matches," senior Pascal Salasca said.- Katie Fonken
