Gymnasts defeated in Michigan

The Arizona gymnastics team was overwhelmed by the No. 6 Michigan Wolverines 197.025 to 193.750 in Ann Arbor, Mich., Saturday afternoon.
Arizona garnered its third-highest score of the season but could not overcome a season-high score by the Wolverines.
Junior Maureen Kealey, despite lingering injuries, continued to impress by posting a second place score in the all-around with a 39.400.
Senior Kristin McDermott also fared well, placing fourth in the all-around (38.825) and sophomore Kara Fry placed fifth (38.650).
The Wildcats continued their steady improvement on the beam with a 48.950, which was the fifth highest mark in UA history.
UA returns home to face another difficult challenge as it meets No. 11 Oklahoma this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at McKale Center.
