It's just a joke

To the editor,

We found nothing offensive in the Friday's "Ecology 101," unlike Thor Halvorsen in Monday's Daily Wildcat., "Wildcat offends again."

The cartoon merely pointed out the inappropriateness of certain animals, such as a fish or turtle, as having the responsibility of guiding the seeing-impaired. The idea is obviously ludicrous.

We find it disturbing that it has become a trend to be overly sensitive just because of a physical disability or ethnic background.

Since we are all too busy to be politically correct, it is sad that even a simple joke can be taken as a stab towards any group of people.

It is too bad that no one can take a joke as just a joke. Having a sense of humor is something that some politically correct people obviously do not possess.
