Cartoonist lacks taste, sense
To the editor,
I'm writing to protest the publication in yesterday's paper of the "Looking for Billy" cartoon.
Mr. Olson's usually humorless cartoon has sunk to a new low. Monday's "Bug and Bee are Friends" cartoon was not only in very poor taste, but runs contrary to the anti-discrimination and open-diversity policies of this university.
Clearly, Mr. Olson lacks an innate sense of taste and decorum, and should be chastised for his lack of sensitivity to the large body of gay and lesbian students on this campus. I hope that presentation of such blatantly violent homophobia will not be repeated in future issues of the Wildcat.
