Research professor Martin Tomasko explains the workings of the Dissent Imager Spectral Radiometer to his Universe and Humanity 102 class on the UA Mall yesterday. The DISR was sent on the Cassini-Huigens Mission to Saturn on October 15, 1997. It will start collecting data such as the heat balance, the composition of the atmosphere and the topography of Titan, one of Saturn's moons, when it arrives in 2004.
