Consider privacy before you publish
To the editor,
This letter comes in response to the protests conveyed by Eric Stevens in the Dec. 4 edition of the Wildcat. They are concerned that the public's right to know (as well as to be entertained) would be greatly violated if the Police Beat restricted the printing of some personal information, even if this information's only value is to humiliate an individual.
Since we do live in a world of ever decreasing personal privacy, I do believe that the Wildcat could express a modicum of responsibility when deciding to publish anyone's information.
