As tough in the Pit as in McKale
To the editor,
I am really sorry to read that Arizona will try to end the series with UNM. It is as tough to play in the Pit as it is to play in McKale Center. Please Coach Olson, reconsider your decision. I am a huge college basketball fan and have enjoyed the games with Arizona. A decision to end what has been a good series only punishes the fans.
Remember there were 40 minutes of basketball that night. Arizona had the opportunity to put the game away in the previous 39 minutes and 55 seconds. I was at that game!!!! Don't blame the officiating or time keeping. It is just an excuse and a sign of no respect for UNM and the state of New Mexico.
