From staff reports

The 4th-ranked Icecats (17-3-2) hope to rebound when they travel to West Chester, Penn., to take on the University of West Chester Saturday night, after a disappointing tie against Delaware on Wednesday.

"To go into somebody's barn and beat them is no easy task," Icecats' head coach Leo Golembiewski said, "this road trip will gauge how we finish up in the national polls."

The Icecats will have to attempt this without Hunter Cherenack, who reinjured his bad shoulder in Wednesday night's 3-3 tie against Delaware.

Freshman goalkeeper Jason Morgan is also questionable for the line-up due to a swollen hand suffered in pre-game practice Wednesday. Morgan attempted to play Wednesday, but was pulled after giving up a goal in the first period.

Junior transfer Mark Meister will be given the nod to start if Morgan is unable to. Meister, a transfer from the Villanova University in Pennsylvania, hopes to make a sweet homecoming by defeating a team within his home state.

"Mark's turning into the kind of goalie the coach's all knew he could be," Golembiewski said. "He's obviously very talented."

After accepting a bid to the American Collegiate Hockey Association's national championship tournament Wednesday morning, Golembiewski was informed that the final seedings will be based on how the respective team's perform in the final two weeks of the season.
