Rugby to face high-powered Cal
The California rugby team is coming to town, bringing with it eight straight national championships, to face Arizona Saturday at Estevan Park at 2:30 p.m.
Cal blew out the Wildcats 57-11 last year, turning a close game at the half into a laugher. The Bears have won three in a row against UA after the Wildcats won the series opener, 6-3 in 1986.
Arizona (3-1 overall, 1-1 conference) is coming off a split on the West Coast against Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo (a 25-0 win) and UC-Santa Barbara (a 15-10 loss) on Jan. 29 and 31.
Cal is 3-0, coming off a 45-10 defeat of UC-Davis last weekend. - staff reports
