The No. 4 UA softball team treated the Wildcat Softball Classic not as a tournament, but more like batting practice.

The Wildcats scored a total of 55 runs in games against Penn State, Tennessee Tech, Kentucky, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

More impressively though, UA gave up only one run all weekend.

"We are connecting finally, we have been together the whole season," junior catcher Lindsey Collins said. "Now we are feeding off each other, now we are positive with each other, we are just building off each other."

Arizona went 5-0 over the weekend, capturing the tournament championship and improving it's record to 13-1.

The championship game pitted the undefeated Oklahoma Sooners against the Wildcats, in what had the makings to be a good game.

Oklahoma (11-1) proved to be no match for the Wildcats, as junior shortstop Allison Andrade hit a two-run homer and sophomore first baseman/pitcher Jennie Finch crushed a three-run shot to give UA complete control of the game.

UA won in convincing fashion, 6-0, holding Oklahoma to only four hits.

Finch led the powerful Arizona offense, hitting four home runs to go along with her 12 RBI over the weekend.

Other offensive stars for UA were Collins (two homers, seven RBI), Andrade (two homers, nine RBI) and junior outfielder Lauren Bauer who had eight hits, in addition to five RBI and five stolen bases.

"We just really hit the ball hard and a lot of big key hits," junior second baseman Katie Swan said. "Everyone was really hitting, one through nine, it wasn't anyone special, everyone came up and did their job."

With the offense taking the spotlight, junior pitcher Becky Lemke and Finch continued to dominate in the circle.

Lemke struck out 25 batters in 16 innings of work, collecting three wins and giving up only one earned run.

Not to be outdone, Finch went 2-0 with 18 strikeouts and 10 shutout innings of work.

"They are throwing hard, they are throwing really hard, so it is good," Collins said. "Every pitch was on, and they are hitting their spots."

Arizona's other victories came against Tennessee Tech (0-5) 15-0 and the Nittany Lions (3-2) 9-0 on Friday, along with a 17-1 victory against the Lobos (8-5) and a 8-0 win against Kentucky (3-8) on Saturday.
