The 4th Dimension

Fourth Avenue is known primarily for two things: it's a great place to shop and to go drinking. When I set out to document Fourth, I decided to illustrate the places and people everyone has seen, but few rarely taken the time to notice. I stopped and talked to anyone who would give me some time, and to my surprise, most were friendly and interesting. These conversations ranged from discussing the city of Tucson's policies on transients to who I thought would win this year's World Series.

This series of photographs shows only a small portion of the people and sites found on Fourth Avenue. Next time you find yourself pounding the pavement dowtown, take a minute to stop and look around. You may find something new and unexpected.
