The UA men's and women's track team will host its second outdoor meet of the season Saturday at the Jim Click Shootout.

For the first time, however, the team will be competing as a full team in a scored meet against Colorado, Minnesota and California.

Arizona head coach Dave Murray anticipates a strong performances this weekend from all four schools.

"The Jim Click is always one of our highlight meets of the season," coach Murray said. "All four teams that are going to be competing in the meet all have very good track programs over the years, so the competition itself should be excellent."

The Wildcats set two school records in their last meet, the Willie Williams Classic. The first was set by sophomore Brianna Glenn in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.49 seconds, and the other in the pole vault by junior Andrea Neary with a height of 12 feet 9 inches.

Although Glenn set a school record, both her and sprinting coach Fred Harvey know she needs to improve her first 30 meters of the race.

"We're looking to get quality training for her race especially to clean up the first 30 (meters)," Harvey said. "(This meet) she'll be able to work on the little things."

The other record breaker, Neary, is also using this meet to fine tune her work in the pole vault.

"I hope to set another one (school record). I want to jump a little higher and push the limits," Neary said. "Looking to push myself in my event, doing the right things at the right times."

Aside from Glenn and Neary, Harvey is also enticed on the prospects of junior Keith Varga.

"The most interesting athlete should be Keith Varga, especially coming off his last performance," Harvey said.

Varga's last time out he ran in the 400m intermediate hurdles and finished in 51.76 seconds, the 10th fastest time in program history. The race also marked Varga's first ever run in the event.
