Kay supporters are rare
To the editor, In yesterday's editorial, "Likins should rehire fired researcher," the editorial staff did manage to get a single fact right, that the University is divided over the issue. However, the division is not as clear as the article described. Although the article names a few of Kay's supporters, it fails to describe the overwhelming majority of researchers and professors that support President Likins' actions in firing Kay. In fact, the editorial mentioned all of Kay's supporters. There are no others. You might ask why are there so few. The facts are that Kay is a sloppy researcher that falsified data, gained national attention because of her false claims and endangered her staff and test subjects. Kay has been exposed and no amount of lies by this paper or anyone else will get her back. Eric Ray Biochemistry senior
