Gallagher Theatre will forever live on at this university.The Social Sciences version continues tonight as Brandon Fraser and company star in "The Mummy." Not content in roles in "Encino Man," Frasier moves on to the starring role in this action flick. "The Mummy" takes place tonight at 7 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. in the Social Sciences auditorium room 100. Tickets will run students $2.50, and make sure you arrive early. Be prepared to watch a movie, and not throw footballs around or make snide comments though, because the staff are usually not very appreciative.

Check out some of historic Tucson premiering today in the Lionel Rombach Gallery in the Art building. Done by Sofia Herrera and Lindsey Gullett, the exhibit highlights differences between old and historic Tucson and modern Tucson. Gullett presents photography as her main element, with Herrera focusing more on oil on canvas. The exhibit is open to the general public, and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The show, titled "A Mosaic of Cultures: The Different Faces of Tucson," will be on display until Oct. 7. Want to talk college football with the head honcho? Don't miss your chance to eat lunch with UA head coach Dick Tomey today in McKale Center's room 329. Held weekly, this lunch is designed for students to sit down and talk with one of the Pacific 10's and college football's premiere coaches. Beginning at noon, students are expected to bring their own lunch and have football on their minds. Everyone is welcome. Call the UA Football office at 621-4917 if you have any questions.

Students Against Sweatshops is beginning a new series of workshops on the global political economy. Lasting for nine weeks, the series will highlight the increasing globalization of the world economy. Many of last year's returnees will remember the SAS standoff in UA President Peter Likins office in the Administration building that brought awareness about SAS to the campus and UA community. The workshops all begin at 7 p.m. and will continue every Wednesday until Nov. 17. They will take place in Social Sciences room 206. Contact Molly Snow at 623-4041 if you would like to know more about SAS.

Want to see how the UA computer communications center works? CCIT is holding a open house today to let the general public see just that. Open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., CCIT is offering a complete behind-the-scenes look at exactly how the computer center operates. Also today, CCIT is celebrating the completion of a mural on the east entrance of the building, compiled by UA Fine Arts grad student Peg Hansen. It all takes place at CCIT, on the southeast corner of North Mountain Avenue and East Speedway Boulevard.
