The "People's Law School" is in session and everyone is invited. A presentation of the Pima County Bar Association, the "People's Law School" is designed to inform the general public about law related topics that affect their day to day activities. Questions about Health Care, Workman's Compensation, Social Security, and various other topics will be around for discussion. Guest speakers will include members of the Arizona Supreme Court, attorney's from the private sector and faculty members from the UA College of Law. Session are on Monday evenings from 7 until 9. The presentation takes place in the James E. Rogers College of Law, located on North Mountain Avenue and East Speedway Boulevard directly west of AME. Tickets will run $25 for students, and $30 for the general public. Call the Pima County Bar Association for further information.
Wyclef Jean and his brand of hip-hop comes to Tucson this evening in UA's Centennial Hall. One third of the Fugees, Jean's solo career has been critically acclaimed, with his last release turning out tracks such as "We are trying to Stay Alive" and "Gone till November" Only a few tickets remain for this show, which run $28, so make sure to swing by before the concert to assure yourself a slot at this event.
Plan on being around in Tucson for the millennium party? Why not kick off your new year with a bang and go to the Insight.com Bowl. Teams will be decided toward the end of the college football season, but you can put your money on a great game. Last season featured Missouri and West Virginia in a matchup that gave former Wildcat and current Missouri Head Coach Larry Smith. The previous season saw the home team Wildcats defeat the New Mexico Lobos 14-10. The game will most likely figure to match up the 3rd place team in the Big 10 and the fourth in the Big 12 Conference. But their is still a chance Notre Dame will make ab appearance for all you Irish fans. Tickets cost $10 for end zone and upper deck seats, $25 for center stadium upper deck and $45 for anywhere else on the field. Getting a job is really easy! Now that I have your attention, take part in the Resume Writing Workshop that can make looking for a job easier. So brush off the dust from your resume and references, and prepare to make yourself a more inviting employee this afternoon at 1 in the Education Building in room 316. The workshop should last around 60 minutes. This is a weekly workshop geared by the Career Services center designed to help UA students get that all important job after graduation.
