OJ wonāt be flipping into any end-zone during this game, but he may catch a pass there. If he doesnāt Northcutt will, as the Wildcats inch closer to a second game at Pasadena. They have to stop Tuiasosopo on the run, and that is what Arizona does best.

Tee Martin still doesnāt think he gets the respect he deserves, and after beating the Irish, nothing will change. Notre Dame is an Insight.com Bowl team or maybe, just maybe an Independence Bowl team. The Vols will crush them, while dancing in the checkerboard endzone.
Tennessee 42, Notre Dame 14

Cal has a great defense, but OSU has a great offense. On their home field, with the opportunity to have their first winning season since 1971, the Beavers will run right through Sekou Sanyika and the Bear defense. Take the Beavers and give the points.
Oregon State 34, California 16

This is a game that boasts two very inconsistent Big Ten squads. Although Ohio State is coming off a big win in Minnesota, East Lansing will once again be sold out of 40s as the Spartans run rampant over the Bucks.

Two Heisman hopefuls in Drew Brees and Ron Dayne go head to head in a battle to see who still has a chance at the Rose Bowl. Dayne will get the rushing record by the end of the year, and he will win the Heisman, but Brees wins this game.

Washington is coming to Tucson with redemption in mind and a target on OJās jersey. Tuiasosopo was amazing last week, but gaining another 509 total yards against the Wildcats will have to be done through Marcus Bell and Joe Tafoya. Now that would be impressive.
Arizona 44, Washington 41

Notre Dameās knack for the comeback this season wonāt dig them out of this one. Running the option against the Vols may be effective, but in order to win this game the Irish will eventually have to stop Tee Martinās killer arm.
Tennessee 43, Notre Dame 20

In a normal Pac-10 football season, this game wouldnāt matter, and it shouldnāt. But since NCAA football is in an opposite-parallel universe this season, these two teams are fighting for decent bowl rights. Bear LB Sekou Sanyika will single-handedly stop Ericksonās potent Beaver offense.

Inching closer and closer to a Rosey Y2K, the Spartans get back on track this weekend in East Lansing. Spartan receiver Plaxico Burress has been the best player that nobody knows about this season. After catching a few touchdowns this weekend, everyone will realize his ability.

Two preseason Heisman hopefuls go head-to-head in a game where they are now more concerned with simply rescuing their Pasadena aspirations. Make a slash in the win column for Wisconsin as Dayne will be more impressive on the ground than Brees will be through the air.

After a difficult week before the UCLA game, the Wildcats silenced their critics by pounding the Bruins. If Trung runs like he did last week and Northcutt keeps his Heisman-like year going, the Wildcats should upset the Huskies.

Keeping the theory that losing early in the season is better than losing later, Tennessee is still in the Sugar Bowl picture. However, the Irish come into Knoxville with upset on their minds, and Notre Dame, yes, Notre Dame, wins in front of 109,000 orange-clad fans.
Notre Dame 20, Tennessee 17

Dennis Erickson has turned the Beavers completely around and seeking a bowl appearance, but Cal is primed to play the spoiler. Sekou Sanyika and Cal have one thing the other nine Pac-10 teams donāt ÷ defense.

Oct. 9 has come and gone, and while the Spartans did beat Michigan that day, what have they done to be proud of since? Meanwhile, Ohio State looks for revenge after last yearās stunning loss, and receiver Ken-Yon Rambo catches three touchdowns in a rout.

The fact that all these games are in Staff Picks show that the Big Ten is clearly the nationās best conference. Both these teams would be contenders for the Sugar Bowl in any other league, but Purdue ends any of those ideas for the Badgers.

Do the Wildcats think they can still make it to the Rose Bowl? They wonāt after Saturday when the Huskies come into town as the hottest Pac-10 team. This year Tuiasosopo will be the one flipping to victory. Hello, Aloha Bowl.

The Fighting Irish had to fight to comeback against Oklahoma, USC and Navy. They wonāt be so lucky against Tee Martin and the Vols. Itās whiskey time in olā Tennessee.

The fun and gun offense of the Beavers will be too much for the Bears to handle. Dennis Erickson has the Beavers smelling a bowl game for the first time since Moses and dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Bill Burke and the Spartans are on the way down, they seem to have given up on the season. Ohio State is starting to click. Bellisari has a big game, and John Cooper starts to get his team ready for the other Michigan school.

Ron Dayne gets close to Ricky Williamsā NCAA rushing record and as a result the Badgers win a squeaker over the Boilermakers. Look for Brees to continue struggling against good Big Ten teams.
