Although Ohio State is coming off a big win in Minnesota, East Lansing will once again be sold out of 40s as the Spartans run rampant over the Bucks. Michigan State 21, Ohio State 10	Two Heisman hopefuls in Drew Brees and Ron Dayne go head to head in a battle to see who still has a chance at the Rose Bowl. Running the option against the Vols may be effective, but in order to win this game the Irish will eventually have to stop Tee Martinās killer arm. Tennessee 43, Notre Dame 20	In a normal Pac-10 football season, this game wouldnāt matter, and it shouldnāt. But since NCAA football is in an opposite-parallel universe this season, these two teams are fighting for decent bowl rights. Bear LB Sekou Sanyika will single-handedly stop Ericksonās potent Beaver offense. California 31, Oregon State 27	Inching closer and closer to a Rosey Y2K, the Spartans get back on track this weekend in East Lansing. Spartan receiver Plaxico Burress has been the best player that nobody knows about this season. After catching a few touchdowns this weekend, everyone will realize his ability. Michigan State 38, Ohio State 28	Two preseason Heisman hopefuls go head-to-head in a game where they are now more concerned with simply rescuing their Pasadena aspirations. Make a slash in the win column for Wisconsin as Dayne will be more impressive on the ground than Brees will be through the air. Wisconsin 28, Purdue 21

If Trung runs like he did last week and Northcutt keeps his Heisman-like year going, the Wildcats should upset the Huskies. Arizona 24, Washington 21	Keeping the theory that losing early in the season is better than losing later, Tennessee is still in the Sugar Bowl picture. However, the Irish come into Knoxville with upset on their minds, and Notre Dame, yes, Notre Dame, wins in front of 109,000 orange-clad fans. Notre Dame 20, Tennessee 17	Dennis Erickson has turned the Beavers completely around and seeking a bowl appearance, but Cal is primed to play the spoiler. Sekou Sanyika and Cal have one thing the other nine Pac-10 teams donāt ÷ defense. California 19, Oregon State 13	Oct. 9 has come and gone, and while the Spartans did beat Michigan that day, what have they done to be proud of since? Meanwhile, Ohio State looks for revenge after last yearās stunning loss, and receiver Ken-Yon Rambo catches three touchdowns in a rout. Ohio State 38, Michigan State 9	The fact that all these games are in Staff Picks show that the Big Ten is clearly the nationās best conference. Both these teams would be contenders for the Sugar Bowl in any other league, but Purdue ends any of those ideas for the Badgers. Purdue 35, Wisconsin 27

Oregon State 48, California 21	Bill Burke and the Spartans are on the way down, they seem to have given up on the season. Ohio State is starting to click. Bellisari has a big game, and John Cooper starts to get his team ready for the other Michigan school. Ohio State 27, Michigan State 17	Ron Dayne gets close to Ricky Williamsā NCAA rushing record and as a result the Badgers win a squeaker over the Boilermakers.
