Arizona Daily Wildcat,
August 30, 1999

Today is the last day that you can register for classes and still get credit. So dust off that Drop/Add form that has been sitting on your desk and get into that extra class. You can drop off forms at the Registrar's office until 5 p.m. Call the registrar if you have any inquiries at 621-3452.

Sports tickets abound this week as both UA football season tickets and seats for the Phoenix Suns vs. Portland Trailblazers at McKale are still available. UA season tickets are available in section 1 and sections 7-10, so show your UA pride and back them up despite their thumping this weekend. Tickets run around $30 for students with an ID. You can pick them up on the Mall or march down to McKale and pick them up there. The opening game for ticket holders is Middle Tennessee State on September 11. Other opponents at home for the Wildcats this season are USC, UTEP, Washington and Oregon. They will be out on the Mall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. As for the NBA game, you can see Damon Stoudamire's return to McKale, an arena he once dominated, as they play the Phoenix Suns and their new million dollar man Penny Hardaway. Upper deck tickets are going to cost you at least $12 and run all the way up to $35 for the floor seats. You can call the McKale Center at 800-638-4253 for tickets. The game is Sunday October 30 at 5:30 p.m.

Can you feel the tension mounting in your back and you would love to get rid of it? Then check out the Arizona Health Sciences Center today at either 3 p.m. or 5 p.m. where they are hosting a help your back session. Everyone is invited as Bonnie Angelie, R.N., C.F.P. will instruct you on methods to help you reduce tension, as well as prevent injuries and breathe without restriction. The session costs approximately $3 and lasts 1 hour. It all takes place in the Arizona Health Sciences Center room 2823. Contact Lindley Hunter Silverman at 617-0879 if you have any questions.

Here is your chance to get healthy and play a little tennis while you are at it. The annual tennis singles tournament is approaching, where individuals can compete for fun or for keeps. Come one, come all, you can sign up from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. The cost is $7 per entry and sign ups begin today and last until September 9. Check out the Intramural sports office upstairs in the UA Student Recreation Center or call the coordinator Brian Jacoby at 621-8723 if you need further details.
