Talk about this story

Prepare for the upcoming semester by getting your books online. The U of A Bookstore is ready to take all of your orders ahead of time beginning today. All you have to do is log onto www.bookstore.arizona.edu, and let the Web site take you away. Every textbook for each course will be available for consumption, to be picked up between Jan. 9 and Jan. 11. Still have questions that the Web site just can't answer for you? Then give Melva Saldivar a call at 621-2812, and find your answers.

The UA Anthropology department and the Arizona State Museum are collaborating on a new public lecture series for this month of December. "The Joys and Perils of Being an Ethnobiologist" should interest all of those who have an interest in the field of anthropology. It is the first of many this month, and all lectures take place in the Center for English as a Second Language room 102. More lectures are to follow. Tonight's feature starts at 7:30 and lasts until 10. Call Suzy Fish at 626-8290 if you have any more questions about these speeches.

Need a little something to spice up your quiet Thursday evening? How about dropping by tonight's presentation of "Riverdance" which is taking place at 7:30 at Centennial Hall. Tickets for this action bonanza cost between $40 and $56. Acclaimed throughout the free world, "Riverdance" is truly something you just can't live without seeing. And they are only in town this week. Pick up your tickets at the Centennial Hall box office or call them at 621-3341.

Come get your discounted Wildcat merchandise on the U of A Bookstore patio today and tomorrow. All of the cheap items from inside will be moved out onto the exterior for your browsing. Books, gifts and various computer products will be available, so swing by between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to peruse the deals. Beth Bujarski can answer any questions you may have on such deals at 621-8475.

Come take part in SAFE ZONE, a UA organization dedicated to making the campus a safe haven for gays and lesbians. Become affiliated today between the hours of 5:30-7 p.m., where you can learn to become an identifiable support person for the gay and lesbian community. Taking place in the Oro Belle conference room in La Paz Residence Hall, the session is open to everyone. Interested individuals should call Keith Humphrey at 621-1423.
