Don't know how to celebrate Martin Luther King Day? The UA African American Student Affairs is presenting a MLK Millennium Celebration from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Hillel Foundation. The guest speakers are Russell Adams and chair of African American Studies and poet Quraysh Ali Lansana, author of "Southside Rain Poems." There will also be a reception immediately following at the Dr. MLK, Jr. Students Center, located at 1322 E. First St. The celebration is free, and everyone is invited.

The College of Humanities is presenting The International Arts Society Film Series tonight with its first film, "The Wild Bunch." The film is 145 minutes and will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Modern Languages Auditorium. Admission is free, so take advantage of this great opportunity. The No. 2 UA women's swimming and diving team will hold its first meet of the semester against No. 1 Georgia today at 2 p.m. at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center. There will be a free T-shirt giveaway, and you can contact the McKale Ticket Office at 621-2287 for more information.

The UA gymnasts are ready for their first meet against UCLA tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the McKale Memorial Center. The meet is open to all and the McKale Ticket Office can answer any questions at 621-2287.

Hate is bad. The Department of Multicultural Programs & Services will be handing out Stop Hate buttons from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today, so stop by and show your support on the UA Mall. Monica De Soto can answer any questions at 621-1094.

There will be a Biochemistry Seminar today in Biological Sciences West Room 208. The seminar starts at 4:00 p.m. and is called "Structure of Gas Generating Enzymes Heme Oxygnease and Nitric Oxide Synthase." Dr. Tom Poulos, professor at the University of California department of molecular biology and biochemistry, will be presenting the lecture and Dr. William Monfort will be hosting.
