Need an interesting way to spend your lunch break? Eat to the Beat is presenting "Hector on Stilts" today at noon in the Cellar at the Memorial Student Union. Be there to see them perform on stage.

Ever been interested in joining a sorority? Alpha Chi Omega is getting ready for its Spring 2000 Membership Drive. Today, they will be kicking off the drive with DJ R-Dub from KRQ 93.7. There will also be music, food and prizes on the UA Mall, so stop by and join the fun. If you have further questions, you can contact Ryan Koerner at 792-4100, ext. 403.

Pedro Delgado of UA Psychiatry will be presenting "Update on Newest Antidepressants" today from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The lecture will take place at the University Medical Center in the DuVal Auditorium. For more information, contact the Psychiatry Department at 626-6047.

What the heck is Interdisciplinary Plant Biology? Well, today is your chance to fulfill your curiosity and attend a lecture on "Cryptochrome Blue Light Receptors: Function and Signal Transduction," by Chentao Lin, cell and developmental biology, UCLA. The lecture will take place from 4-5 p.m. in the Family and Consumer Resources Building, Room 202. Jian-Kang Zhu can answer any questions at 626-2229.

The Faculty Artist Series will be presenting a Norman Weinberg Percussion Concert with Norman Weinberg on percussion, Tomoko Uchino on the piano, Mark Rush on the violin and Kelland Thomas on the saxophone. Presented by the School of Music and Dance, the concert will take place at Crowder Hall at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for the general public, $8 for faculty/staff, $6 for seniors and $5 for students. Do you miss healthy, home-cooked meals? Well, today you may be able to sample just that. Fit & Fast Cooking with Ted Rogers sponsored by WellBeing will take place today from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the University Services Building, Room 214. There will a $1 co-pay per person, and you can call 621-2493 for more information.

The Pre-med Honorary Club of Alpha Epsilon Delta will be holding its first meeting of the semester today in the Modern Languages Building at 5-6 p.m. There will be pizza and Nancy Steller will be addressing the meeting. The UA community is invited to go and learn about alcohol awareness. Sigma Chi Fraternity is having an Alcohol Awareness Seminar tonight at 7:30 at the Sigma Chi House on 1616 E. 1st St. There will be refreshments and the guest speaker will be James Nesci.
