'Wildcats for Christ' tactics justified

By Ben Weinstein
Arizona Daily Wildcat,

To the editor,

I am in no way affiliated with Faith Church or Wildcults (How was that again?) for Christ. However, I do empathize with my fellow believers. I'm not a member of the said group, and I still feel as though I've been compared to a salesman by open-minded people who know that I am wrong. If you do not want to be a Christian, guess what , you do not have to be one. I'm sorry that a few of you have had bad run-ins with crazy, scripted, vacant smiling Christians who are just doing what they feel is right. They do have a reason to 'push' it. Christ said "go and make disciples of all nations..". Christians try to bring others to Christ, they do not force people to not pursue other beliefs.

As far as why these people should be allowed to 'sell' their 'goods' and not act as a vacuum dealer, is such that there is no 'sale' at all. Also, as I understand it, Wildcats for Christ is recognized by the university, as are fraternities, sororities, and other clubs, which gives them certain rights. If it bothers you that we live in a free country where Christians have the same rights as Jews, Hindus, Muslims (etc.), perhaps a more communist climate would suit you.
