As part of the Sociology Brown Bag Lecture Series, professor Andrew Greeley, from the department of sociology will present "Religion in Eastern Europe: Phase II." The International Arts Society Film Series will present "Sugar Cane Alley" tonight at 7:30 in the Modern Languages Auditorium. This film won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival and a Caesar in France for Best First Film. The film explores the complexities and triumphs of people trapped within the French colonial system. Charles Scruggs can answer any questions at 621-3527.

The Berlin-based Petersen Quartet will play tonight at 8 at the Fine Arts Complex, Crowder Hall. This quartet has earned numerous awards including competition prizes at Evian, Florence and Munich. Tickets cost $30 and the Centennial Hall Box Office can answer any questions at 621-3341.

It's your chance to conquer cancer on Saturday morning. The Tucson Fire Fighters Associations' Climb to Conquer Cancer at "A" Mountain will bring hundreds of people together to fight cancer. This event will be held at Pima Community College West Campus. Climbers can register for the event starting at 7 a.m. and the walk will begin at 8 a.m. in the parking lot of Pima Community College and winds around St. Mary's Hospital up to Sentinel Park on "A" Mountain, where festivities will take place until noon. The "Third Annual Battle of DJs" will take place Saturday night from 8-12:30 a.m. at the Downtown Events Center, 63 E. Congress St. This event is designed to bring together professional and amateur DJs to compete with each other for cash and gift prizes as well as to entertain local teens. The Battle of DJs grand-prize winner will receive $300, second place, $200 and third place, a mixer. Contact Rachel Puchi for more information at 321-7989.
