The Arizona baseball team knows how to pick its road trips.
The Wildcats are in the Aloha State this weekend for a four-game series against the Vulcans of the University of Hawaii-Hilo. The series starts today, will continue with a doubleheader tomorrow, and concludes Sunday.
Ben White (0-2, 7.02 ERA) was scheduled to start two days ago against Cal State-Dominguez Hills and then again in Sunday's series finale against the Vulcans. But because Wednesday's game was cancelled due to rain, White could start either the series opener today or wait until Sunday.
If White starts today, Matt Hendren (0-2, 7.97 ERA) and Ryan Frace (2-2, 4.03 ERA) will likely pitch tomorrow's twin-bill, and Clay Crossan (0-0, 7.11 ERA) will probably start Sunday.
Frace, who threw 90-plus pitches in a win over Dominguez Hills Tuesday, would be pitching on four days rest.
