Arizona's women's basketball team lost to Oregon State 93-69 last night at Corvallis, Oregon. The Wildcats went in to the game severely handicapped with the loss of Arizona standout JiJi Sweet, who sprained her left knee.
Michelle Giordano led all Wildcat scorers with 17 points overall. Giordano shot 7 of 13 from the field and was 2-2 from the free throw line.
Brenda Pantoja followed with 14 points and played the full 40 minutes. Pantoja completed two of four 3-point attempts from the field.
The Wildcats (10-16 overall, 5-9 Pac-10 conference) next face Oregon at Eugene.
