Racial tensions extend community wide

Editor:

It seems evident to me that the racial tensions between the two parties, MEChA and Kappa Sigma extends beyond their boundaries. Racism does not only affect the two parties, but revolves around the entire university community. It is my belief, and my belie f alone, that the two parties need to resolve this matter once and for all, and end the letters to the editor. Enough is enough!

As a student of this university, I have overcome the odds to become a leader. As a person, I too have been a target of racism. But, we cannot allow words to overcome our self-esteem. Time has passed, and it's time for the two parties to move on. The event will never be forgotten, but we cannot change it or live in the past. We have to decide now what to do in the future. We cannot allow these inexcusable events to recur. Not only will the two parties have to work together, but rather the entire university community.
