After looking through March 26 comic section, I feel that I need to write in and express my feelings about the comic "Jock Strip," because I felt it was terrible.

My first thought was that the comic was not funny, and secondly, I thought it was a pretty messed up way to talk about Joe McLean, to say he has no future. This is a member of our basketball team who worked his butt off all season, he was constantly diving all over the court for loose balls, taking the charge or guarding somebody a lot bigger than he is (i.e., Danny Fortson).

Now maybe the NBA scouts are not knocking down his door, but show the guy some respect, after all his hard work throughout his career, he deserves it. I'd be willing to bet his future is a lot brighter than that of the so-called cartoonist that does "Jock Strip."
