'Useless' Rec. Dept. ignores lacrosse

Editor:

As a member of the 1997 Arizona Men's Lacrosse Club team I feel that it is my responsibility to inform the school of how unreceptive and useless our campus recreation department truly is. This season we are vying for the first ever national club championship, and it appears that we will be doing this without one ounce of support from the school. So far this academic year our funding has been cut, and we have been consistently been given the run around by the recreation department. The field which we used this past weekend to defeat BYU has been taken away from us for bigger and better things like INTRAMURAL soccer? We have been disallowed to use the scoreboard on Wildcat Field (when we were allowed there) and the simplest of things like assisting us in lining our own fields is more difficult then pulling teeth. Thanks for nothing and your continued lack of support as we march to St. Louis to win the national championship for the school that wouldn't care if we curled up and died.
