Think you'll always have that well-muscled, trim, wrinkle-free body? For once, you may be right. Come to Room 205 of the UA Foundation "Swede" Johnson Building this morning from 10 to 11 for a lecture on longevity. Dr. Evan Kligman (Cienega Health and Healing) will be contributing to the Senior Health Lecture Series with a plan for "Staying Younger Longer: Living to be 100." It never hurts to start early! Contact Vanessa Martinez at 321-9132 for more information.

Though the official title for today's Gallagher Theatre event is the Building Academic Community Speaker Series, there will be little verbal conversation reverberating off those old walls. Instead, Carrol McLaughlin (professor, School of Music and Dance) will speak to you in the musical sense. Join her from 12:15 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. for the "Harpfusion Send-Off Concert to Prague." The American Council on Education and the UA Faculty Fellows have coordinated their talents to bring you this performance. What a way to take this semester's series out with a bang - or, should I say, a pluck. Sue Robison can give you more information at 621-4700.

Undergrads, be jealous of your superiors no more! This evening, from 5 to 6, Kendra Gaines will give a repeat performance of last night's Weekly Writing Workshop. She'll divulge all the secrets of "Final Exam Strategies: Preparing for the Final Exam" (which were, as of yesterday, only revealed to grad students) in Room 310 of the Modern Languages Building. The Writing Skills Improvement Program has been kind enough to set this event up for you. Call Donna Rabuck at 621-5849 for the details.

Hear the vocal rendition of "Lord of the Dance" tonight at Centennial Hall. The Chieftains, Ireland's Musical Ambassadors to the world since 1989, will be belting out traditional Celtic tunes at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $24 to $36 - call the Centennial Hall Box Office at 621-3341 for more detailed seating information. If you have the time, stop by Room 102 of the Center for English as a Second Language Building at 6:45 p.m. for the accompanying Arts Encounter. Janet Sturman will provide you with a brief history and description of Celtic musical tradition. The Centennial Hall Box office may be contacted concerning this lecture at the number listed above. This performance is part of the World Stage series.

Come to the Auditorium of the Modern Languages Building tonight to hear your very talented cohorts share some of their best written work. The Spring 1999 Visiting Poets and Writers Reading Series will begin its last segment at 8 p.m. with readings from the annual contributors to Persona, the UA's undergraduate magazine of literature and art. Both fiction and poetry will be on the agenda, so there is something for everyone. An informal reception will follow the readings. Call the Poetry Center at 321-7760 for further information.
