Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm Tucson welcome to Gennady Yagodin! That's right, the Russian rector of the International University in Moscow talks with students and faculty alike today about the current political and economic situations in Russia. And you can bet he'll have a lot of interesting things to say - Yagodin served as the Russian education minister under Gorbachev. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to engage in discourse with a former statesman between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in Room 102 of the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) building. Bruce Wright has details for you at 621-4088.

Hey, mon! The University Christian Group is sponsoring a Reggae Concert tonight from 4 to 9, so find yourself a patch of grass on the Mall. Food and drink will be available for purchase by those afflicted with cotton mouth or the munchies. Joe Legros will kindly answer any questions you have about the event if you call 322-9037.

Think puppet shows are kid stuff? Teatro Tinglado, internationally known performance group from Mexico, asks you to think again. The group presents The Repugnant Story of Clotario Demoniax tonight at 8, as part of Arte Latino Americano, Teatro Tinglado, in association with The Jim Henson Festival of Puppet Theater. Written by noted Mexican author, Hugo Hiriat, the story focuses on a madman who murders his best friend in order to win a woman he does not really love. Ever think you would see a puppet show wax macabre? Check it out at Centennial Hall for $20. Further ticket information may be obtained by calling the Centennial Hall Box Office at 621-3341.

The event is free of charge. Contact the People's Forum for Voters Awareness at 792-6534 for more information.

If dark theater isn't your idea of a typical puppet show, come to Centennial Hall Saturday afternoon for a performance with a lighter tone.
