You may never have to leave campus again. Not only can you get food, work out and enjoy free entertainment throughout the week, you can also purchase office supplies. That's right, the ASUA Bookstore wants to help you avoid the hassle of driving all over Tucson for art and office materials by selling them in the same place you buy your textbooks. And they are presenting an Office Products Show today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to prove it. Meet with vendors to discuss products and witness demonstrations, and browse among the many different brands of merchandise the bookstore has in stock. Contact Christina Montano, supplies buyer, at 621-8870 for more information.

Does the name "University Medical Center" bring only visions of IVs, surgical tools and casts to your mind? It shouldn't. Strange as it seems, UMC is the place you should go today if you want to catch the Center Stage - Latin American Ensemble show. From noon to 1 p.m. in the DuVal Auditorium, Bwiya-Toli will perform the music of the indigenous peoples of Mexico, Chile and Peru. You may even see some instruments played that you didn't know existed - like the charanogo, ronroco, cuatro, quera and bombo leguero. If you have questions, give Nancy Guthrie a call at 626-7301.

We have reached the midpoint! The Faculty Fellows-sponsored Building Academic Community Speakers Series is presenting its seventh speaker this afternoon in Gallagher Theatre. Meet John G. Hildebrand, Regents professor of neurobiology, at 12:15 p.m. to eat some lunch and ingest some knowledge. What is "The Most Dangerous Animal in the World?" Place your bets, then come to the lecture to find out.

Most of us have probably been subjected to a "research tour" of the Main Library at the start of our English 101 or 102 classes. The Library team probably demonstrated how to access the Web - but do you know when or how you can use it? The UA Composition Program, Department of English and the University of Arizona Library have formed Literature, Research and the Web, a series of roundtable discussions headed by former English 102 students, faculty and library staff to help you successfully use the Internet to find usable research. The talks will also focus on possible sticking points and what constitutes a "credible source" when citing Web information. Partake of complimentary refreshments while participating in the discussion. The talk will be held in Room 204 of the Psychology building from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Give Louise Greenfield a ring at 621-9919 for further information.

The UAB is at it again. Their Eye on Diversity Committee has toiled endlessly to bring you the new Foreign Films Cycle at Gallagher Theatre. Tonight begins the series with a showing of "Eat Drink Man Woman" at 7:30, directed by Ang Lee. This Chinese film focuses on the individual romantic lives of a retired gourmet chef and his three unmarried daughters, using their elaborate Sunday night dinners as the main setting. The film is being screened for free, so come get a bit o' culture in you. Contact Harminder Singh at 621-0760 for details.
