A female student called university police Wednesday morning to report three sexually harassing phone calls.

According to police reports, the student received the first call Oct. 5. in her Apache-Santa Cruz dorm room, 1420 E. Fifth St. The caller said nothing to her and hung up.

The woman told police the second call was on Oct. 6, when a man left a message on her answering machine saying her name over and over. She told officers she didn't recognize the voice.

According to reports, she received the third call Tuesday at 11:50 p.m. The man asked her personal questions like, "What are you wearing," and, "Are you sexually active?"

He also told the woman he was taking a survey but then said he was in Pennsylvania and it was all a joke, reports stated.

The student told officers the only people who knew her phone number are friends and study group members.

A Tucson man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of drug paraphernalia possession.

An officer was on bicycle patrol on East University Boulevard near North Park Avenue at 7:18 a.m., when he saw Charles R. Ramirez, 39, of a general delivery address, walking west on University, police reports stated.

The officer recognized Ramirez from past encounters and decided to approach him.

According to reports, Ramirez had an outstanding warrant from UAPD. The officer asked the man if he had any weapons or drugs on him, and Ramirez admitted to having two pipes in his possession.

Police found a pipe in the pouch of a green bag and another pipe in a black backpack, reports stated.

Ramirez admitted to using the pipes to smoke marijuana. The officer took him to Pima County Jail where he was booked.

A student called police Wednesday afternoon after finding obscene Post-It notes on her car.

According to police reports, the student parked her car at 8 a.m. in a lot located at the corner of East Mabel Street and North Martin Avenue Oct. 7. When she returned to her car at 7 p.m., there was a small Post-It note on the windshield of her car.

The note was written by hand and said, "Don't you hate it when you get your balls stuck in your throat," reports stated.

The student told police she threw the note away because she believed someone was mistaking her car for someone else's.

According to reports, she found a second note on her car at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The note was written in the same handwriting and said, "Don't you hate it when you get your wife's pubic hair in your teeth?"

The student told police she moved to Tucson two months ago and does not have a boyfriend or a husband that might harass her. She also said she believed someone was mistaking her car for someone else's.

Officers checked the parking lot to see if there were any other cars parked there that resembled the student's, but found none.

A student allegedly hit another student's car in a parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

According to police reports, a student was driving a 1994 Nissan through the parking lot at the corner of North Warren Avenue and East Enke Drive at 12:09 p.m. when another student backing out hit her.

The other student, driving a 1997 Isuzu, told police she was backing out of the spot when she hit the other car. She also said she didn't see the other car coming.

Police examined both cars and found damage on the Nissan only. Paint from the Nissan was on the center of the Isuzu's back bumper, reports stated.
