A man's innermost thoughts take center stage tonight at Centennial Hall as UA presents, "Spalding Gray: Morning, Noon and Night." Gray returns to the UA campus, political views in hand, with a mixture of comedy, confession and storytelling. There is limited seating available for the 8 p.m. showing, and seats must be reserved in advance. Tickets can be purchased at the Centennial Hall box office, or by phone at 621-3341.
Are you wondering where you fit into the game of religion and politics? Check out today's Sociology Seminar, "Global Civil Society and the Participatory Self: The Case of Religious Liberty." George Thomas, a representative from the sociology department at ASU, will begin his lecture at noon and focus on the self and its role in society. Revenge meets cinema in a graphic portrayal of a police raid gone wrong. The International Arts Society Film Series brings, "Live Flesh" to the screen tonight in the Modern Languages auditorium. The Spanish film, screening at 7:30 p.m., is a creative stretch from director Pedro Almodovar's past films including "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown." If you are looking to add a little color to your weekend plans, check out tomorrow's Arizona Gallery Exhibit, "Shemear." Artist and painter Karen Domnitch Felton will display her rich, sensual images of nature in her first solo Tucson exhibit. The artist is known for her wide brush strokes and use of bright colors.
