A UA student was arrested Tuesday after sleeping in a campus library, reports stated.
An officer called to the Main Library, 1501 E. University Blvd., noticed Jon Nathan Larriva, 39, of an unknown address, asleep on the third floor of the building, reports stated.
After declining medical attention, Larriva told the officer that he was a part-time student at the UA and was sleeping inside the library because it was too cold to sleep in his truck, reports stated.
After confirming Larriva's identity, the officer discovered that Larriva had three outstanding warrants for his arrest, reports stated.
The man also showed the officer a CatCard to prove that he was a student at the UA, reports stated.
Two of Larriva's warrants were from the Pima County Sheriff's Department for writing bad checks totaling $1,066.45, and the other was from the Oro Valley Magistrate for assault, reports stated.
Larriva was arrested and booked into Pima County Jail, where he was scheduled to appear before a judge yesterday, reports stated.
A computer belonging to a UA student was stolen from a campus building Tuesday, reports stated.
The student said she left her room in La Paz Residence Hall, 610 N. Highland Ave., Tuesday afternoon to meet a friend, and when she returned, she noticed that her laptop computer, valued between $1,500 and $2,000, was missing, reports stated.
The student said the room was unlocked for the 45 minutes she was gone, and she did not have the computer's serial number at the time she spoke with the officer, reports stated.
There was also another computer in the room during the theft, but it was not stolen, reports stated.
The officer at the scene attempted to get fingerprints from the doorknob of the room but was not successful because the student and her friend had touched it, reports stated.
Nothing else was stolen from the room, and there are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
Several items belonging to a UA student were stolen from a locker inside a campus building Tuesday, reports stated.
The student said he put a black wallet, valued at $45 and containing several identification cards, a wedding band, valued at $100, and a Swiss Army-brand watch, valued at $150, in a locker inside the Student Recreation Center, 1400 E. Sixth St., and locked it with a padlock, reports stated.
When the student returned, he noticed that his locker was empty and the padlock was missing, reports stated.
The student said he didn't notice anything suspicious in the area, and the padlock was not found, but the locker remained functional, reports stated.
There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
A car belonging to the father of a UA student was broken into Tuesday while parked in a campus parking lot, reports stated.
The student said she parked her father's 1992 Ford station wagon in a Zone 1 parking lot at 421 N. Cherry Ave. Tuesday evening, and when she returned, she noticed that the right rear window had been smashed and several items were missing from her car, reports stated.
A backpack, valued at $50, a Gucci watch, valued at $169, psychology textbooks of an unknown value and CDs in a CD case, valued at $450, were all stolen from the car, reports stated
The officer at the scene attempted to retrieve fingerprints from the vehicle but was not successful, reports stated.
There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.

The student said she parked her 1984 Honda Civic in a Zone 1 parking lot at 421 N. Cherry Ave. Tuesday night, and when she returned, noticed that the passenger door lock had been tampered with, reports stated.
The student also noticed that a CD player, valued at $250, and a vehicle emergency kit, valued at $50, had been stolen from the vehicle, reports stated.
There are no witnesses or suspects at this time.
