Two Tucson men and two UA students were arrested Friday for rappelling off the roof of a campus building, reports stated.

A UA employee told officers that four people were rappelling off the side of Life Sciences South, 1007 E. Lowell St., reports stated.

Officers arrived at the scene and spoke with a UA student identified as Andrew David Chisholm, 20, of the 2000 block of Copper Street, who said he and the three others were rappelling from the roof of the building, reports stated.

The officer noticed that three of the individuals were wearing climbing harnesses and that there was a rope tied to a railing on the roof, reports stated.

Chisholm told the officer that the climbing gear belonged to Joseph Alvarez, 25, of the 2500 block of East Lester Street, reports stated.

One of the other climbers, who identified herself as Claudia Carmen Chisholm, 22, of the 2500 block of East Lester Street, also told the officer that the gear belonged to Alvarez, who she said was her boyfriend, reports stated.

Alvarez, who is not a UA student, denied having anything to do with the three and said he just happened to be walking by at the time, reports stated.

After confirming their identities, David Chisholm and Claudia Chisholm were cited for trespassing, as was the fourth climber, Greg Miller, 22, of the 2700 block of East Seneca Street. Miller is not a UA student.

The three were released at the scene.

Alvarez was charged with trespassing, false reporting to law enforcement and facilitation of criminal trespass, reports stated.

He was taken to Pima County Jail where he was later released.

The climbing gear was taken into evidence by UAPD.

A UA student was arrested at a UA fraternity house for drinking beer early Sunday morning, reports stated.

An officer responded to Sigma Chi fraternity house, 1616 E. First St., because of a complaint of loud music, reports stated.

When the officer arrived at the scene, he noticed an unidentified man looking down from a room in the house where the music was coming from, reports stated.

The officer told the man that he needed to speak with him and the man went back into the room, out of the officer's view, and turned off the music, reports stated.

When the officer entered the building looking for the man, he spoke with Michael David Agnew, 19, of the 1300 block of North Park Avenue, reports stated.

Agnew told the officer that he did not live at the fraternity house and was not sure who lived in the room that was playing the loud music, reports stated.

After identifying Agnew, the officer asked him if he had been drinking and Agnew replied "I swear I haven't had anything to drink," reports stated.

After a while, Agnew admitted that he had drank "a couple of beers," earlier Saturday night, reports stated.

Agnew was for minor in possession of alcohol and released at the scene, reports stated.

The vice president of the house spoke with the officer and told him who the residents of the room were and promised him the music would be kept low, reports stated.

The officer planned to contact the fraternity members playing the loud music later.

While at the house, the officer found several cans of beer which were taken to UAPD headquarters and poured out.

A UA employee observed an unidentified man ride away on a possibly stolen bicycle Friday, reports stated.

The employee said he noticed a broken black cable lock drop from the area where the man was riding, reports stated.

The employee said he tried to make contact with the man but was not successful, reports stated.

The owner of the possibly stolen bicycle is not known and there are no suspects at this time.
