Expand your horizons and grab a front-row seat for tonight's 7:30 p.m. installment of the International Arts Society Film Series, "Pather Panchali." This deceptive narrative about ordinary people put India on the cinematic map and was a stepping stool for the director's fame. Sociology paints a raw picture of diversity and then asks questions about identity, sexuality and power. Tonight's speaker series, entitled "What's the Difference: Race and Gender in Visual Culture," focuses on the relevance of these issues. Whether you are a lady Wildcat or Wilbur himself, tonight is the night to take your rights back at the UA Take Back the Night March and Rally. Festivities will begin at 6 on the Mall with informational tables and spoken-word presentations illustrating the theme of the night, "End Violence Against Women and Children!" Discrimination against men, women and minorities is still a prevalent issue in the United States. To learn more about how to deal with issues of sexism, hate, homophobia and oppression, register for tomorrow's "Day of Understanding." Support your local Boys and Girls chapter, and check out some UA talent at tomorrow night's first annual Omega Delta Phi Gamma "Knight of Talent" showcase. Auctions will begin at 4 p.m. and some proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Tucson.
