Caught on Tape

Apparently, the Pope is not completely infallible. After his failed attempt this weekend to exorcise a 19-year-old girl who began "screaming insults in a cavernous voice," as reported by an Italian newspaper, to an audience in the Vatican City, the Wildcat thought its readers might be in the mood for a good demon-purging movie. After all, if an exorcism does not put you in the mood for entertainment, what does?

A pre-teen Linda Blair gives a head-spinning performance in 1973's quintessential possession film "The Exorcist." To see the spirit of the devil invade even younger bodies, check out 1968's "Rosemary's Baby" or 1984's Stephen King chiller "Children of the Corn." Or, for a more modern representation of demons wracking mortal souls, see 1999's "Stigmata." Bring the hankies- and the crucifix.
