UA soccer team played Evansville to a 1-1 tie Saturday in a neutral match held in Albuquerque, N.M. The game against the Purple Aces marked the Wildcats' second overtime match of the season.

UA senior forward Keri Kennedy-Weber was the offensive key for Arizona again Saturday.

Kennedy-Weber scored the winning goal in Thursday's overtime match against New Mexico, and then scored the only Wildcat goal in Saturday's game.

The senior forward's goal put the Wildcats on top early when she scored in the 18th minute of the game. Arizona freshman midfielder Sierra Cristiano assisted Kennedy-Weber's goal, which was her third goal in the last three games.

The Wildcats' held a late lead in the match, but Evansville came back and scored the equalizer with less than five minutes left in the contest.

Evansville defender Nicole Matheson scored off a corner kick from Tracye Burch in the 85th minute, tying the game 1-1 and sending the match into overtime.

The Wildcats were dominated by the Purple Aces, 13-0, in corner kick advantages.

The two teams played two 15-minute sudden death overtimes but neither team was able to capitalize and the game ended in a tie.

UA junior Shannon Monti played a solid game, as she went the entire 120 minutes, racking up three saves.

Evansville outshot Arizona 13-9 with Kennedy-Weber and Cristiano tallying two shots each which lead UA.

The tie against Evansville puts the Wildcats 1-4-1 on the season and leaves the Purple Aces now at 4-2-1 overall.

The Wildcats won their first game of the season on Thursday when they edged out the University of New Mexico in a 3-2 overtime victory.

Kennedy-Weber's game-winning goal against the Lobos was a controversial one as the shot was tipped by UNM goalie Shelly Hammock, then ricocheted down off the cross bar to the goal line. The Lobos thought Hammock cleared the ball before it crossed the goal line but the officials called it a goal, salvaging the first UA win of the year.

The Wildcats will continue their road trip this weekend with four games in Southern California.

Arizona will take on Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif., on Friday and Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles on Sunday.
