Emory Sekaquaptewa is out to prove you wrong. This UA research anthropologist will disprove the popular perception that American Indian languages are dead. Sekaquaptewa and his colleagues developed a Hopi-English dictionary for the formal study of the language in the classroom. Tonight they will discuss the process of making the dictionary and the development of Hopi literacy classes. The program will be held in the Center for English as a Second Language in Room 103.
Seeing live theater productions is great, but let's admit it. They can get a little stuffy sometimes. But the UA has a solution to that. The theater department will perform "Wiley and the Hairy Man," a children's tale aimed at third through sixth graders. So come unwind with a good play and let the children keep you laughing.
