You may despise your boss every other day of the year, but today you have to do a little brown-nosing. It's National Boss's Day, and your employer is expecting to find a nice gift on his desk when he gets into work. So be sure to stop by the mall on your way to work to ensure you still have a job tomorrow.

The smell of competition is in the air. The Residence Hall Association organized a week long mini Olympic event, "Hall-a-Daze," with relay races and other games. Show your competitive side and dorm spirit by crushing AZ-SO or Yuma, or which ever dorm you hate the most. You come home from a long day at school or work and you pop a tv dinner in the microwave. Six months later you wonder why you've gained 15 pounds. Now you can remedy the weight problem and enjoy meals that don't come out of a box with the "Fit and fast Cooking with Ted Rogers," a workshop that will teach you food preparation tips and the difference in good fats and bad fats. Think about volunteering for charities but never get around to doing the good deed? Miranda Joseph, an assistant professor in the women's studies department, can explain your selfish tendencies with today's "Not-For-Profit? Voluntary Associations and the Willing Subject" lecture. Joseph will discuss the motives behind people who volunteer their time at different organizations and the people who don't. The lecture starts at 3 this afternoon in Harvill Room 332B. We all know the game of love sucks, but you ain't seen nothing yet. "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" explores the powers and strategies of seduction, intertwined with a decadent morality tale set amidst the excesses of the pre-revolutionary French aristocracy. The play will be showing in the Laboratory Theater in the fine arts complex at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost between $12 and $18, and can be purchased through the Fine Arts Box Office at 621-1162.
