Nike - the goddess of victory, the sponsor of UA athletics. Being the sponsor means supplying the athletic gear for all 18 Arizona teams. This gear would include shoes.
Shoes - the foundation of an athlete's mobility, the traction and support provider, the things with laces worn on the bottom of the body. Senior QB Ortege Jenkins has a problem with these things called shoes. They don't stay on his feet.
Feet - in conjunction with the calf, thighs and hips allow an athlete to travel from Point A to a desired Point B.
Point B - this would be a first down most of the time when referring to the sport of football, but only considered good when the Wildcats offense is doing this deed.
Offense - what the UA doesn't have. Last year Arizona finished the Pac-10 season ranked No. 1 in offense; this year they are currently ranked No. 10.
No. 1 - what the Wildcats are ranked in the Pac-10 in scoring defense. The only reason UA is not 1-7.
One win - Arizona would still have beaten Southern California no matter what, wishful thinking.
Also No. 1 - UA men's basketball team. Whoa. Prediction for the game tonight - the Red team will win by four points after coming back from a 12-point deficit late in the second half behind the heroics of the great "Gene" Edgerson. He gets ruff 'n stuff with his afro puffs Hey! rock on with your bad self.
Second half - known as the latter half, also referred to as the other half. Usually, known as the subsequent half which follows the first, but in Cross Country it's known as Championship Half. Pac-10 to Regional to NCAA meets all in a row.
Cross country champion - congrats to UA junior Tara Chaplin for bringing back the Pac-10 title this past weekend - see adjacent story.
Championship title - what the L.A. Lakers will defend this season as the Big Everything leads his Picachu PokŽmon against the rest of the NBA.
PokŽmon Gold - not as popular as Playstation 2.
Playstation 2 - they're all gone, get used to it. What does PS2 have to do with sports? Hand-eye coordination.
Hand-eye coordination: essential to the athlete's ability to do well. Something Mike Tyson has lost - or maybe that was his sanity.
Sanity - something all UA football fans have lost rooting for the team - the ones who show up at least.
Show - what the St. Louis Rams and the Sacramento Kings provide for their respective sports. The college equivalent would be Oklahoma (at least for the past three weeks) and the UA.
UA - it's the university located right here in Tucson.
