You may have trouble keeping your mouth shut in class or can't stop interrupting while someone else is talking, but today you don't have a choice - talking is strictly off limits at the Arizona Historical Society's silent auction "Pieced Connections II." This auction will feature 12 historical quilts stitched during the 1840s and the following century. On exhibit will be the Tombstone quilt, a blanket rumored to have been designed by a theater actress while in jail. This is your chance to bid on miniature versions of these famous quilts. Come to the Arizona Historical Society at 10 this morning to start the bidding.

Have you noticed that races and cultures are portrayed differently in the media? The Chicano Hispano Student Affairs have noticed, and they're sponsoring a lecture by Daniel Bernardi , an assistant media arts professor, titled "Latinos in the Media." Lifts, tucks and sucks, do they really work? You're probably asking what we're talking about? Plastic surgery of course. To what extent are humans able to alter the signs of aging? It's a little hard to answer this questions without first understanding the "Biology of Aging." The Arizona Center on Aging will sponsor an evening lecture for Dr. Wannabes examining the physiological effects of aging. The speech starts at 6 p.m. in Lecture Hall 2117 of the College of Medicine. This lecture is one in a six-part series that costs $50.

You've seen presentations on a variety of Arizona's ghost owns, so now that you know something about the topic, what would you vote as "The Last Best Ghost Town"? The Arizona Historical Society has already cast their ballot and you can find out tonight what they think. The lecture will also feature the economic, social and political impacts of this ghost town and what role ghost towns play in folklore and pop culture. The lecture starts at 7 this evening in the main museum of the Arizona Historical Society. The lecture costs between $3 and $6.

Patti Harada, a psychology research technician, will host a lecture at 7 p.m. to examine how you can eliminate this problem from your relationship.
